Bard Silicone-Elastomer Coated 2-Way Foley Catheter

Bard Silicone-Elastomer Coated 2-Way Foley Catheter is made from a hydrophobic material that rejects moisture. It comes with a silicone, elastomer coating which helps reduce urethral irritation and maximizes stiffness without compromising flexibility. This sterile catheter, with latex-based construction, has a short length with two opposing eyes. It is positioned well within the patient's bladder. Slowly, with a gentle, constant force, inflate the Foley catheter balloon with the volume prescribed on the package. Note that a 5cc balloon must be inflated with between 9cc and 10cc of sterile water. Improperly inflated Bard Foley catheter balloons may cause drainage and deflation difficulties.
